Remediation
GASS’s vast scope of remediation
technologies includes light non-aqueous phase liquid and dense non-aqueous
phase liquid recovery; pump-and-treat, product-only recovery, dual or multiphase
extraction, vacuum-enhanced recovery, air sparge, bioremediation, soil washing,
soil solidification and stabilisation, soil extraction and disposal, natural
attenuation and in-situ chemical or biological remediation. Our team has
experience in designing, implementing and operating as the principal
contractor. Owing to our international connections and project experience, we
can design and build the most technically appropriate remediation systems to meet
our client’s specifications.
Our engineers have built fully automated containerised and skid-mounted units for pump-and-treat, SVE, MPE, DPE and HVER applications consisting of a full range of industry-approved control panels, transfer pumps and knockout vessels. Our units can also redirect material through a granular-activated, carbon-polishing vessel before discharging it to a sewer or into the atmosphere. We have engineered numerous small, skid-mounted air stripping units for projects involving dissolved phase contamination issues. We also have a full range of QED pneumatic AP3 top- and bottom-loading pumps for dual-phase recovery or leachate pumping. Additionally, we have access to recovery pumps, helical rotary pumps, piston pumps, bladder and diaphragm pumps, which are used widely on projects.
Field-assured technicians offering specialist services
Maintaining our fleet of remediation equipment means we can save you time and money by handling everything in-house. If we do not have the necessary equipment, we can hire it from rigorously vetted suppliers. All equipment is always fully serviced and maintained to ensure maximum performance and safety. Owing to our extensive client base, we offer a multidisciplinary support structure, which enables us to offer a turnkey solution, negating the use of subcontractors. The process ensures a direct line of contact with clients and reduces contractor-related risks and costs.
Our projects run from the north to the south of the country and into neighboring countries. We have experience installing systems into Tanzania, Benin, Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland, Botswana and South Africa.
