GASS was established in 2021 by its team of Directors with more than 150 years of combined experience in the groundwater industry. The company head office is based in Durban and began operating with four dedicated and specialist
members and three skilled workers who maintained client sales, services, and
marketing contacts in the country. In late 2021 an office was opened in Fernglen in Johannesburg to concentrate on installing domestic boreholes. The staff compliment consists of skilled to semi-skilled members. Since its inception, GASS has evolved and worked on some significant projects in Southern Africa.
GASS is anticipating its advancement in the African market. We are experienced in providing cutting-edge, design-led remediation contracting solutions and turnkey-project solutions to water and environmental monitoring schemes. Our field operators can manufacture, test and commission for most environmental applications specialising in the groundwater, surface water, soil, biogas and landfill regimes.
The company consists of three distinct areas of expertise: environmental and domestic water drilling, surface and groundwater sampling services and remediation contracting services. Our approach of combining an experienced, adept team and an innovation-first approach with designing remedial solutions has produced efficient results and forged long-lasting client relationships. We have worked on a range of projects, including domestic, industrial (gasworks, chemical and industrial facilities) and a wide range of brownfield redevelopment sites. Our client base ranges from engineering and hydrogeological consultants to large industry leaders to government departments to the public.
